The shopping center is located in the Southern part of The Netherlands, in the heart of the city of Rosmalen, right next to the main shopping street ‘De Dorpstraat’ and the main square ‘De Driesprong’. The shopping center is regarding routing and tenant-mix perfectly connected and complementary to the exiting retail structure. It consists of approx. 8,200m2 GFA of shops and 39 apartments above the shops. In addition there are approx. 250 parking spaces situated at ground level.
The design of the project was made by PPHP in collaboration with Forum Concept & Design, the in-house design department of Foruminvest. A lot of attention has been paid that size, scale and architecture fit the existing situation. For example, the historical farm houses along ‘De Dorpsstraat’ were an inspiration for the design of the new shops. Furthermore, a characteristic villa (Dorpstraat 69) along with a monumental tree were kept and integrated into the project. The villa is extended with a new modern orangery and serves as a restaurant. It is one of the focus points of the new development.
The tenants include: Jumbo, Lidl, Hema, Kruidvat, Etos, ICI Paris XL, Van Haren, New York Pizza, Brainwash hairdressers, Holland & Barrett, Primera, DFM Flowers, Bakery Van Keulen, La Vittoria Chocolaterie, Brasserie Rosmalen, Sazo woman fashion and Albertus wines.
With these tenants, the shopping center provides a strong impulse for the entire center of Rosmalen.
